4th Commons House of Assembly - 1698 to 1699

The Fourth Commons House of Assembly convened for at least three (3) known sessions. The first session met from September 13th to October 8th in 1698. The second session met from November 9th to November 19th in 1698. The third session met from February 8th to February 9th in 1699.

This Assembly met at least once more after the third known session because on August 26, 1699 another known Act was ratified on that date.

* Jonathan Amory was elected as the Speaker of the House. Thomas Rose was elected as Clerk of the House. Francis Fidling was elected as Messenger of the House.
(1) George Logan and James Witter received equal votes in the general election, and the House decided that George Logan should replace James Risbee, who had also been elected but was denied his seat since he did not reside in the county that elected him.
(2) Hugh Hext and Robert Seabrooke received equal votes in the general election, and the House selected Hugh Hext.
