Noel Somerset and his brother Henry
Somerset, both minors, inherited their father's share of
Carolina. This share was managed by Doddington Greville.
Doddington Greville (b.c.1679 - 1738) was the son of Fulke
Greville, 5th Baron Brooke of Beauchamps Court, and Sarah, daughter
of Francis Dashwood, alderman of London. He was educated at Wadham,
Oxford, and graduated on 18 Apr. 1697, aged 17. He was a Member
of Parliament, representing Warwick from 1705 to 1727.
