Doddington Greville

Upon their father's death in 1714, Charles Noel Somerset and his brother Henry Somerset, both minors, inherited their father's share of Carolina. This share was managed by Doddington Greville.

Doddington Greville (b.c.1679 - 1738) was the son of Fulke Greville, 5th Baron Brooke of Beauchamps Court, and Sarah, daughter of Francis Dashwood, alderman of London. He was educated at Wadham, Oxford, and graduated on 18 Apr. 1697, aged 17. He was a Member of Parliament, representing Warwick from 1705 to 1727.
