| Constructed by the Kanawha Hardwood Company, this line was built to tap the timber reserves located on the Buffalo and Snowbird mountains, which formed the boundary between North Carolina and Tennessee. It was constructed as a 3' narrow gauge along the Snowbird Creek. The line failed in 1917 and the track was removed and sold to France. There, the rails were used in the war effort against Germany. | |||||
