Originated as the Carolina & Georgia Railroad. 1922 - Acquired the Hiwassee Valley Railroad. This railroad was incorporated in March 1919 as the Carolina & Georgia Railroad, which was used until 1922 when it changed its name. The line connected with a Champion Fibre Company logging line just north of Hayesville. This railroad was abandoned in 1959. |
