An Act to Amend Subdivision 2d of Section 1012 of Chapter XIX of the General Statutes, Entitled "Of the Free Public Schools."

Acts and Joint Resolutions of the General Assembly of South Carolina 1890, Page 722.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, now met and sitting in General Assembly, and by the authority of the same, That Subdivision 2d of Section 1012 of Chapter XIX of the General Statutes, entitled "Of the Free Public Schools," be amended by inserting between the word "Charleston" and the word "and" on the third line of said Subdivision 2d the words: "and fix their salaries, subject to the approval of the County Board of Examiners." So that said Subdivision 2d, when so amended, shall read as follows:

"Subdivision 2d. To employ teachers from those having certificates from their County Board of Examiners, or from the State Board of Examiners, or of the City Board of Commissioners of Charleston, and fix their salaries, subject to the approval of the County Board of Examiners, and to discharge the same when good and sufficient reasons for so doing present themselves."
