An Act to Amend Section 1115 (1048) of the Revised Statutes of 1893, Providing for at Least One Beneficary Cadet from Each County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, That section 1115 (1048) of the Revised Statutes of 1893, be, and the same is hereby, amended to read as follows, to wit:

"Section 1115 (1048). The said military academy is reopened for the free education and maintenance of as many beneficiary cadets as the appropriation annually made therefor will allow: Provided, That each county shall be entitled to at least one beneficiary cadet in the said acadamy, and the Board of Visitors may also receive pay cadets without expense to the State.

Section 2. That in the event of the formation of new counties after the apportionment of beneficiary cadets has been made, no cadet then in the academy shall be dropped in order to carry out the provisions of this law.
