Named John Douglas as Master of Grammar School in Charlestown. SPG sent Benjamin Dennis to SC, appointed as School Master for St. James, Goose Creek Parish.

Charlestown Library to be within parish church of St. Philip's.

Act for a Free School in Charlestown
Commissioners authorized to construct buildings for the school, including a home for the master.

Founded in 1737, incorporated on this date to provide a free school for orphans and indigent in Charlestown.

Society began in 1755 to build and staff a Free School in Georgetown.

Act to Incorporate the Fellowship Society
Society began in 1762 to build an infirmary/hospital for the relief of distressed persons, including lunatics.

Act to Incorporate the Mt. Sion Society
Society established to create a Public School in the Camden District, soon to be in the town of Winnsborough.

Act to Incorporate the Catholic Society
Society established to create a Public School in the Camden District, eastward of the Wateree River.

Act to Incorporate the Salem Society
Society established to create a school and seminary of learning between the Catawba and Savannah rivers near the Little River Meeting House in the Ninety-Six District.

Society established to create a seminary of learning in the Cheraws District, and to support poor children.

Act to Incorporate the John's Island Society
Society established to create a seminary of learning in St. John's, Colleton Parish, and to support poor children.

Society established to encourage the liberal science of music.

Mt. Sion Society authorized 13 trustees to create a college in Winnsborough. 23 commissioners/trustees named to create a college in Charleston. 13 trustees named to create a college in the town of Cambridge.

Society established to create a seminary of learning, or a Free School, in the town of Beaufort. Another society established to create a seminary of learning, or a Free School, on the island of St. Helena.

Society authorized to bind children educated at their expense as apprentices to various trades or professions.

Society established to build schools in the Beaufort District.

Act to Authorize the Trustees at Cambridge College
Trustees authorized to establish a lottery to help raise money for the foundering college.

Act to Build a College in the Town of Beaufort
Trustees named and authorized to construct a college in the town of Beaufort. The Beaufort Society and the St. Helena Society are to turn over their assets to these trustees. Escheated properties to be awarded to the Winyaw Indigo Society and St. David's Society.

Trustees named and authorized to create a Public School in Clarendon County and to receive escheated property. Trustees named and authorized to create a Public School in the Orangeburg District and to receive escheated property.

Society established to build a church and school(s) for orphans and poor children in the Abbeville District.

Act to Vest in the Camden Orphan Society and Other Charitable Societies Therein Mentioned
Society authorized to receive escheated property, and to build a school in Lancaster County. Escheated property in York, Union, and Chester counties to go to Alexandria College. Excheated property in Williamsburg County to go to Williamsburgh Academy. Escheated property to go to a new school in Colleton District; Trustees named. Escheated property in St. Philip's & St. Michael's Parish in Charleston to go to the Orphan House in Charleston.

Act to Enable the Agricultural Society of South Carolina to Dispose of the Estate of the Late Dr. John DeLa Howe
Society authorized to sell off some of the lands to help pay for the setup of a school per Dr. Howe's bequest.
