The South Carolina General Assembly

During 1966, the South Carolina General Assembly temporarily reapportioned the Senate into twenty-seven (27) districts with fifty (50) members. All seats were filled for two-year terms in the general election of November 1966. The House of Representatives continued with the standard apportionment per county.
