![]() On January 18, a group of ten men from the 2nd Spartan Regiment led by Capt. Samuel Otterson found Lt. Col. Banastre Tarleton's baggage train at Love's Ford of the Broad River. They killed "one captain," captured fourteen of the Legion dragoons and eight infantry, horses, baggage, wagons, some slaves, and other property. The militia took their booty to a blockhouse on the Pacolet River. |
