On March 11th, a column of British and Loyalists led by Capt. Archibald Campbell crossed the Savannah River at Two Sisters' Ferry and camped about a quarter of a mile from the river. The next day, a British foraging party dispersed a Patriot group of light horse led by Capt. Felix Warley. Capt. Campbell was wounded.
