A dot on a map of South Carolina dated 1799 is the singular reference to a small village/hamlet named Sugar Town in the Pendleton Distict on the west bank of the Keowee River north of Pickens C.H. (on the east bank) - in what today would be Oconee County. Nothing else is currently known about this village/hamlet in early South Carolina. |
