*1874 acquired by the Chester & Lenoir Narrow Gauge Railroad. With a 5' broad gauge track, this railroad ran from Yorkville to Chester Court House. It was completely wrecked by the Union Army during the Civil War and was not rebuilt after the war. It lay abandoned for seven years, when the line was resurrected by the Chester & Lenoir Narrow Gauge Railroad. |
