*1896 merged into the Columbia, Newberry & Laurens Railroad.

The Laurens Railroad was built with private subscriptions. Grading began 1850-51, and after changing hands several times went bankrupt. The iron rails were stolen during the war. It was rebuilt in 1874 by private subscription. In 1888, it was bought by the Richmond and Danville Railroad, which apparently sold it to the Columbia, Newberry & Laurens Railroad in 1896.
