The 36th U.S. Congress met in two sessions: 1) December 5, 1859 to June 26, 1860; and 2) December 3, 1860 to March 4, 1861. A Special Session was convened from March 4th to March 10th 1859. Another Special Session was convened from June 26th to June 28th in 1860.
