An Act to Incorporate Perquimans Male and Female Academy, in the Town of Hertford, County of Perquimans.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of North Carolina, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, That Willis H. Bagley, Joseph S. Cranberry, Charles W. Wood, Arthur Smith Jordan and Darien B. Daughtry, and their successors, be, and they are hereby, incorporated and made a body politic, under the name and style of "The Trustees of Perquimans Male and Female Academy," in the town of Hertford, county of Perquimans, with the usual rights and powers and privileges, and subject to the usual restrictions of such corporations.

Sec. 2. Be it further enacted, That said Trustees shall have power to fill all vacancies in said Board that may happen by death or otherwise.

Sec. 3. Be it further enacted, That this Act shall be in force from and after its ratification.

Ratified the 18th day of February, A.D., 1867.
