Parker Quince

Major in the Brunswick County Regiment of Militia - 1775-1776
Colonel over the Brunswick County Regiment of Militia - 1776-1777

On September 9, 1775, the NC Provincial Congress appointed Parker Quince as a Major under Col. John Davis in the Brunswick County Regiment of Militia.

On June 8, 1776, the NC Provincial Congress appointed Parker Quince as the Colonel/Commandant over the Brunswick County Regiment of Militia, replacing Col. John Davis. He retained this position until the 2Q of 1777, when he resigned his commission and was replaced by Col. William Lord.

Parker Quince was born on December 12, 1743, the son of Richard and Mary Quince, in New Hanover (what became Brunswick) County, North Carolina. On October 27, 1767, Paker Quince married Susanna Hassell, and they had three known children - Richard, Mary Sarah, and William Soranzo. Parker Quince died in 1785.
