Fort Moultrie #1 (SC)

*Promoted to Major on 2/1/1777. However, he had his own company, called the "Major's Company," until the Siege of Charleston, SC in May of 1780. In 1782, he was promoted to Lt. Colonel, which was back-dated to April 1, 1778, however, during 1778 to 1782 he was considered to be a Major.
