1) Fields of the Wood Airfield

Located at a Bible Park called "Fields of the Wood," operated by the Church of God. The headquarters for the church was in Cleveland, TN and the man who ran the church flew back and forth. The church flew mission work from there. The 1978 USGS topo map depicted a northeast/ southwest runway, labeled simply as “Landing Strip.” As of 2015 the Fields of the Wood Airfield is no longer registered with the FAA. The airport was located northwest of the intersection of Route 294 and Shenandoah Road.
