An Act to Authorize and Empower "School District No. 1, of Court House Township," in Chester County, to Make and Issue Seven Per Cent Coupon Bonds to be Used in Completing and Equipping the Public Shool Buildings in Said District.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, now met and sitting in General Assembly, and by tho authority of the same, That the body corporate in Chester County, known as School District No. 1 of Court House township, is hereby authorized and empowered to make and issue seven per cent coupon bonds to the amount of three thousand five hundred dollars for the purpose of completing and equipping the public school buildings in said district upon which proceeds of bonds authorized by Act of 1880 have already been expended.

Sec 2. That the bonds hereby authorized shall be in denominations of five hundred dollars each, numbered from 1 to 7 consecutively, and be signed by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of said district and countersigned by the Clerk thereof, and shall run for a period of twenty years and be redeemable at the option of the Board of Trustees after the expiration of fifteen years and shall constitute a lien upon the property improved by the proceeds of sale thereof, and the coupons thereof shall be receivable in payment of any taxes in said school district.

Sec. 3. That each and all the provisions of Section 4 and Section 5 of an Act entitled "An Act to enable and authorize Sehool District No. 1 of Court House Township to issue bonds for the purpose of building a public school house and to provide additional trustees thereof," approved 23rd Dec., 1889, are hereby enacted and made applicable to the bonds hereby authorized except that a minimum bid of less than par may be received at the sale thereof, and the proceeds of sale shall be deposited in some safe Bank to he selected by the said Trustees.

Sec. 4. That this Act shall go into effect upon its approval.
