Airports Found - Virtually Nothing Known Except What's Below

Paul’s Plantation airstrip does not seem to have any visible improvements. It also has a bit of a water hazard on the south end. It is located in Darlington County, SC about 5.4 miles ENE of Darlington, east of Pine Forest Drive and south of Greenfield Road at N 34.36526 W 79.82460. Info provided in April of 2019 by CBB.

Moore’s Field Airport (59J) (not to be confused with another of the same name – SC 43 – near Williamston, SC) has unfortunately disappeared; the curser on the aerial at left was at the intersection of the two sod runways, the longest of which was 2,000’. It was privately owned, open to the public, and operated by Ollie L. Moore who died in 1988.

As Moore’s Field Airport was the closest to the Darlington Racetrack many light planes flew to Moore’s to attend the semi-annual races; others flew into Branham’s Airport which is further to the west. Info provided in August of 2020 by CBB.
