Airports Found - Virtually Nothing Known Except What's Below

Small airport 2 miles southwest of Whitmire, SC. It is circled by Old Airport Road, just west of SC Hwy. 66 in Newberry County, SC. It was subdivided and completely built over with 1960s-1970s looking houses. With the impression of an east-west aligned rectangle, it may have had a north-south aligned runway, too. Info provided in January 2019 by CBB.

This is Oxner Airfield, 5 miles south of Whitmire, SC, just west of US Hwy 176, and north of the Old Newberry Hwy. It is very visible on the aerial but appears no longer in use in the aerial photograph below. Trees growing on old runway. Info provided in January 2019 by CBB.
