* 1903 - According to the 25th Annual Report of the South Carolina Railroad Commissioners, dated June 30, 1903, the Bennettsville & Cheraw Railroad had fourteen (14) miles of track in operations as of June 30, 1903.
1902, name changed to the Bennettsville & Cheraw Railroad. This is the second line with this name. The first one was chartered in 1887, and in 1891 it was consolidated into the Charleston, Sumter & Northern Rail Road.
1899, originally chartered as the Bennettsville & Osborne Railroad.
