According to the 29th Annual Report of the South Carolina Railroad Commissioners, dated June 30, 1907, the Central Railway of South Carolina had seven (7) miles of track in operations as of June 30, 1907 from Heath Springs to Stonesboro.
This company was chartered via the South Carolina State Legislature on January 25, 1906. Per the original Legislative Act, the planned route was to be from Heath Springs in Lancaster County to the Catawba River.
