* Note. There were three known Captains named Joshua Hadley in North Carolina.

This man was from Rowan County. During 1778-1779, his company was considered to have been in the "New Levies."

The second was an Ensign, a Lieutenant, then a Capt. Joshua Hadley in the 1st NC Regiment on the NC Continental Line.

The third Capt. Joshua Hadley was in the Cumberland County Regiment during 1780 and 1781.
